What I enjoy about Broadway Medical Clinic, first and foremost, is to savor time spent with my patients and their families. I also cherish having the same Registered Nurse and Medical Assistant for over 19 years. We strive to provide excellent patient care together. Broadway Medical Clinic has a family atmosphere. From the staff in the Laboratory to Radiology to Billing to Scheduling to Nursing – all of the staff are wonderful. I value the basic goodness in the people who work here.
Biography
Given that parents know their child and their child’s needs better than anyone, I feel honored and privileged when parents ask me to be an integral part of their child’s life. I strive to always listen to parents, taking time not only for health issues but also for their family’s adventures and progress. Growing up in Wisconsin, with a Midwestern approach to life, I learned the importance of slowing down, not rushing, and getting to know others. I want patients and parents to know that I have time for all of their questions and concerns.
My experience of having open heart surgery at age 12 has helped me to develop deeper empathy and compassion. I hope that patients know that I am in their corner and will take care of them just as I would care for my own child. My goal is to encourage parents to take an active role in decision making regarding their child’s care, informed by the clearest guidance that I can give them.
A source of sunshine in my days is time with my husband and three daughters with whom I enjoy traveling, gardening, camping, and many sports. I greatly appreciate the trust and love bestowed on me by my patients and their parents.
The thing that keeps me most passionate about pediatrics is my boundless enthusiasm and joy for children and sharing with patients both good and difficult times on their journey from arrival as newborns through their time to leave the nest.
Over the years, I hope that patients will trust me and learn how take responsibility for their own health care when they graduate from my practice.
