It is a privilege to be entrusted with another person’s health and well being and I try to honor that with every person that comes to seek my care.
I have been with Broadway Medical Clinic since I finished my dermatology training in 1992 and have been very happy here. I love to see people who have been coming to the clinic since childhood and I also love seeing generations of families. I am now caring for the teenage daughter of a man I saw when he was a teen. It makes me feel old but also reinforces how comfortable people feel coming to this place. Our employees are the best, with a strong sense of pride in who we are and what we do. They make it possible for the doctors to concentrate on our job - getting and keeping people healthy.
After more than 20 years in practice, my favorite part of my work is giving reassurance, hope and relief to the patients who come in scared, frustrated or uncomfortable. It is a privilege to be entrusted with another person’s well being and I try to honor that with every person that comes to seek my care. I have many people I have seen for years and I care for them just as if they were my family. There are many people for whom I am the primary care provider and I try and monitor not just their skin their general health.
I am profoundly fortunate to have two staff members, my nurse Stephanie and medical assistant Karen, who have been with me for eons. We are a tight team and we try to keep the atmosphere light while working hard. They anticipate my needs and make my job so much easier, and have their own relationships with our patients.
In my free time I exercise every day, cook delicious food, read and practice being an artist. I travel a lot and like to see new places and eat great food. I have a husband, 2 daughters and 3 cats and I try to take care of them all.
