Broadway Medical Clinic has been taking care of people and families for 80 years now. 33 years ago my husband (Dr. John Bauer) and I walked through Broadway Medical Clinic’s front door to interview for jobs. At the time, our first impression was that the decor looked pretty 1950’s – but then we met the people, and it felt like family, it felt like home. That is the feeling I hope all of the patients and families that come to see us today still have. I think they do!
I love what I do. Being a Pediatrician and so intimately involved with the lives and health and well-being of so many families is a real honor and privilege. Being able to practice in such a caring, supportive environment is great. With a wide range of services on site and with wonderful, capable colleagues and staff, all in a comfortable, neighborhood, non-corporate setting, that is unique to Broadway Medical Clinic.
Having raised three boys of our own in the neighborhood has made me a more understanding and compassionate Pediatrician. When making recommendations for my patients I always think, "What would I do for my own kids?" I want children to be happy, healthy, self-confident, and to reach their full potential.
I love running into my patients in the neighborhood and around town. I enjoy the game of tennis, as well as hiking and riding a tandem bicycle with my husband. I love the Timbers and the Thorns, travel, murder mysteries, good food, jewelry, shoes and the color purple.
