Broadway Medical Clinic Renovation

Broadway has been a trusted member of the NE Portland community since 1937. After more than 80 years of serving Hollywood district patients and families, we’re expanding our clinic to better serve you.

The renovated Broadway Medical Clinic will offer redesigned entrances, improved parking, expanded reception, additional and upgraded clinical spaces, and a community art wall.

Our goal is to ensure this renovation causes as little disruption as possible. Here’s what you should know before your next visit to Broadway:

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Please pardon our dust! With facility updates comes some increased noise inside and outside of the clinic. If you have sensitivity to noise or dust, please contact our team, and we will do our best to ensure your clinic experience is as comfortable as possible.
  • Broadway’s hours of operation will not be impacted by this renovation project. You can schedule an appointment between 7:30 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays.
  • Parking will be minimally impacted by construction, so please try to arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. We will have a parking attendant on-site during clinic hours to help direct you and your family to available parking spots.
  • During construction, we ask all patients and visitors to enter on the North side of the Broadway clinic – at the corner of Broadway St. and NE 42nd Ave.(P) Visitors and patients, who are in need of wheelchair/ADA access, will find a ramp open at this main clinic entrance. (A) See map below.

UPDATE 8.16.2019

As of 8/15, the excavating crew has unearthed a portion of the south lot. This area has an old tank in the ground that will be decommissioned and removed under supervision on Tuesday.

The temporary ADA lot in the northern part of the old east parking lot will be impacted on Monday as NW Natural crews will be relocating the main natural gas line. This means that the natural gas boiler (which is off) and the main water heater for the concrete structure will be down for several hours starting at 8:30am. This shut off will affect hot water in the concrete structure of the clinic. They will be trenching across the 3 ADA spaces closest to the clinic. These spaces will be closed while the other 3 remain open.

The south wall will begin being shored up Monday as well. Measurements will be taken of offices and exam rooms located on the south side. Prefab will begin Tue and Wed. Thursday, they will begin installing in offices.

There have been some noise issues over the excavation the last couple days occurring in the south lot. Again this will continue throughout the project and will get worse. Demo crews will be coming in to remove the outside facing of the south wall soon. The SW glass door entrance is scheduled to go away on the 30th of August. At that time the south waiting room will be affected as half of it will be shut down and demolition of the SW entrance and stairs occur.
