Doug Renouard
I love that I can give to each patient very personal and individual attention without corporate or administrative interference. Un-beholden to shareholders, hospitals, or insurance companies, I strongly believe I can deliver less biased, superior service.
Biography
My approach is not to have one single philosophy, but rather to attempt to understand each patient’s individual needs and desires. I choose to appreciate the nuances the person in front of me brings to the equation instead of practicing “cookie-cutter” medicine. That being said, I do tend toward irreverence, shaking up the status quo, and having fun!
Special interests include sports medicine, cardiovascular health, orthopedics, asthma, and acute-care medicine.
My patients and the ever advancing knowledge base I can bring to bear upon their problems.
The national trend toward population management is intriguing. I strongly feel we need to always advocate for the individual patient’s needs in their moments of crisis. Losing this to save a few dollars would not be a win for our country and our fellow citizens.
I have two wonderful young boys that take loads of time in a very good way (MOST of the time!). I love all things sports, and anxiously await the Timbers first championship! Fishing, biking, making and drinking good beer are a few other hobbies.
