What I enjoy most about Broadway Medical Clinic is working with children, adolescents, and families, along with Physicians and the entire staff of Broadway Medical Clinic. It feels like ‘home’ here. I feel privileged to be a Mental Health provider in a Primary Care setting, as I think my patients get the full spectrum of care that they need.
Biography
My approach is family-centered. Patients make the most progress when the family is fully involved in the plan of care. Working to prevent crises ahead of time and to make regular progress on goals is primary to my practice.
A special interest is caring for patients from the community, and their families, including those with Developmental Disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I also enjoy coaching parents of pre-school age children.I'm passionate about my practice - the success of my patients moving forward, enjoying life and accomplishing their goals, working to solve family issues – which can be much like putting a puzzle together, and giving patients and their families specific plans each session, to help them move forward.
An important trend in medicine in which I happily participate, is the melding of Mental Health and Primary Care. I also participated in the LEND fellowship at OHSU – Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental & Related Disabilities.
When not working, I enjoy backpacking, hiking, cross-country skiing, traveling, coaching soccer, and spending time with my wife and son.
Frankly, it is hard for me to express in words how much I enjoy working with the patients and their families at Broadway Medical Clinic!
